Mead is considered to be one of the oldest alcohol beverages in recorded history. It has been enjoyed by common folk in the local pub, and also nobility in the comfort of their castles. The ancient Greeks considered it to be the “nectar of the gods”. Today meads can be as simple as honey, water and yeast, or more complex with the addition of fruits, spices or hops. Regardless of your choice of styles, mead is a beverage to be enjoyed on every occasion.

Our Traditional Mead is created by using pure Alberta Honey. This simple Mead uses only honey, yeast and water combined to create a light refreshing beverage. The off dry flavour is crisp with light notes of wildflowers, clover and honey with hints of citrus. Pairs well with fish, poultry and strong cheeses. Best enjoyed chilled.
