About Us

Beary Berry Honey is a family operation, owned by Sam and Sandra Thiessen in Tofield, Alberta. Our beekeeping farm has been in operation since 2004.

In 2006 we decided to experiment with honey and fruit and started selling seven honey blends: Strawberry, Cranberry, Blueberry, Red Raspberry, Black Raspberry, and Cinnamon. They were an immediate hit. Since our launch, the Beary Berry Honey product line has grown tremendously and now includes Flavoured Honeys, Glazes, Vinaigrettes, Honey Shots, Lip Balms, and Lotion Bars.

Our family has worked very hard to make Beary Berry Honey one of the most well-known value-added honey producers in Alberta. Beary Berry Honey products can be found at farmers markets; in SaveOn Foods stores in the greater Edmonton area; in more than 70 locations across Canada; and at trade shows and craft fairs.

The Alberta government’s Growing Forward program has been a tremendous resource for our growing business and we are grateful for the support and opportunities it has provided us. We were a featured producer in their online video series. Click the image below to watch the video (or this link).

Beary Berry Honey was invited by the Alberta government as part of a trade visit to China where we now export many of our products. Singapore imports our products as well, and we have even found our products stocked on shelves in Hong Kong.

Our goal has always been to provide a high quality, local product that is all-natural. Everything we sell, we make by ourselves in our commercial kitchen on our farm with honey we harvest from the bees we raise. Every batch is hand crafted, bottled and labeled by our family for yours.
