Allergens and Food Safety

The kitchen on our bee farm is commercial grade and regularly inspected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CIFA), and we have recently been awarded international FSSC 22000 certification in safe food handling. We are licensed in Food Safety and have a comprehensive process in place to ensure all food prepared in our kitchen is produced to the highest possible standards.

Aside from the honey we produce on our farm (which is has been inspected and approved for sale by CFIA), we source ingredients only from approved stores and suppliers.

Labels on food products must include a detailed ingredient list whether they are sold at a farmers market or in a retail store. This is required under law both provincially and federally. Allergens such as mustard and sulfites must be clearly identified and every Berry Beary Honey product is rigorously tested for both allergens and the proper pH levels.

All Beary Berry Honey products adhere to these strict labeling requirements so our customers can rest assured they are buying a clean product. Our facility and products are gluten-free and dairy-free, and we have processes in place to prevent cross-contamination.
